Brace Yourself

Lets face it, we're not professional writers. In fact, I will do my best to keep the spelling errors to a minimum. The following are random thoughts as we reflect on life and our beautiful family. Hope family and friends enjoy!

Heading to the Homestead

I digress,
I forgot to describe the car ride into the hospital, which really doesn't have much to do with the car ride home except they are both related since they are car rides...here's where the stream of consciousness kicks in. So I (Jon) envisioned we would live the following experience on the way to the hospital.

"Hang on honey...we're almost there!" "I can't help that there are potholes in the road, its spring, I'm trying to avoid them!" "I can't believe when we go out for breakfast downtown we miss every light, but now....yeesh."

In reality....
An "Empire State of Mind" was on the radio....."New York.....those streets will make you feel brand new...those lights will inspire you...." Yeah we were singing to Jay-Z. And we hit every light. But both Mom and Dad were smiling and relaxed.

So, the car ride home.....
We enlisted the help of the nurse to get Madeline all buckled in tightly. She did awesome and slept the whole way. Jon did feel a little nervous driving home, but that is to be expected.
