Ok,
So this past Saturday we went up to Noah's Ark for the American Family Company picnic. This is always a fun time since of course we get to go to a water park and get a good lunch...but mostly the water park is fun. Melissa and I are like kids in a candy store when it comes to that place. I swear...yeah..I'm 32 years old..so what...I can still yell and scream as I am going down a ride..so what..sue me...:)
But this day was extra special..as it was about our little munchkin Madeline. You see..we took her to the city swimming pool...another story...and in short, she LOVED it..so Noah's Ark is of course a step up. We arrived around 1045 in the morning and got into the park around 11am. Of course we had to stake out the best areas to hang out. We chose the little kiddy pool area that was inside of the lazy river..not the adventure river...that one sprays stuff..so we started out small. Maddie waded in...rode a horse zebra thingy and smiled slightly...we attempted to go over to the waterfall mushroom but she was kind of indifferent. So then we went on three laps of the lazy river. Melissa and I were confused...
Why wasn't she wide eyed and smiley?
Was the waterfall at Sun Prairie pool better?
Was she dissapointed that she was riding a zebra and not a horse?
But we ended up having a good time. We had a good lunch of brats, burgers and hot dogs, Madeline had part of a burger...and then OMG..bring on the fun.
We happened to be near the Big Kahuna wave pool. We thought..should we let her wade in?? Sure what the heck...AND THE FUN BEGAN....!
Why wasnt she wide eyed and smiley before? Because she was playing in 4 inches of water.
Was the waterfall at Sun Prairie pool better? Yes, because there were people actually playing in it.
Was she dissapointed that she was riding a zebra and not a horse...eh..who knows...
What we really found out that she is an ADRENALINE junky!! OMG when the waves came on she couldn't get enough...if we would have let her she would have ran in up to her face...she wriggled out of our arms when we brought her into shallower water. The waves splashed over her and she laughed with enjoyment...SHE HAD A BLAST! It was BY FAR the highlight of the day...she was so excited and we are excited to bring her back!
And on a side note...not sure if this is a good or bad thing...a lady had a son that was probably about 4 months older than Maddie screaming and clinging to her as she waded into the water..as my kid just ran up to her chest in water...no fear...and the lady said...see look at THAT baby...ugh..this could get interesting!!! :)
