Brace Yourself

Lets face it, we're not professional writers. In fact, I will do my best to keep the spelling errors to a minimum. The following are random thoughts as we reflect on life and our beautiful family. Hope family and friends enjoy!

Awesomeness, Randomness, Blips and Bleeps from Life last Month....

The title is everything this post will be...random thoughts and activities that the Meyer's have been up to since around the fourth of July. There may be some out of order, but I'm sure my loyal followers (2) won't mind:)

As always there are a ton of exciting things that continue to go on. Each and every day is a new family adventure. Random days are filled with playing with refrigerator letter magnets, our toy car, duplos and of course watering our self outside with the watering can. Madeline is definitely not afraid of getting wet; the opportunity cannot pass when Mama or Papa is watering the garden that she cannot get sprayed by the garden hose. If we put it away before she gets wet, she actually gets upset.

Stream of thought interruption..I have to include an e-mail from yesterday...a witty exchange between Melissa and I....

Melissa: A tornado swept thru the inside our house... Storm Madeline.
Jon: It must have been an F3 then.

To which the National Weather Service responded: "The National Weather service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the area surrounding 599 N. Heatherstone Drive. This isolated storm system brings intense reading sessions, and flying debris in the form of small capital and short case letters of different colors. Affected families should immediately hunker down and prepare for long baths, reading, entertainment, and self watering sessions. Families should also have food, milk and cheerios on hand as well as a broom to clean up flying debris. In rare situations affected families may see a toy riding care being tipped upside down. Please take the following precautions such as giving tons of hugs and building forts."

Ok...happenings...we've been busy...and we know Madeline is living life to the fullest since she is sawing logs all night long...

The Fathers and Mothers day celebrations (which I forgot to mention I think) were awesome. For Mother's day, Maddie surprised Mama with a new plant...which she really appreciated. On a side note, we found out Maddie likes to "stroll" in the backyard along the side of the flower beds and gardens pointing at the flowers...then she wants to water them and takes off toward the water barrel..silly girl:) For Father's day Maddie and Mama surprised Papa with an awesome gift. My first ever Thai massage...which was really good and relaxing and made me ready to hang out with the family and cook dinner. We have been doing a lot of grilling lately..as should be in the summer. Madeline likes corn on the cob...she runs up to the table when you are eating it and opens her mouth and takes a big ole chunk of corn..then smiles and runs off...which brings me to

NEW Mannerisms...

So the other day our goofy girl was just playing around the house. We think she gets really excited when we are both home; lately when she has played HARD with all of her toys she obviously wants to do something but not certain what...so she strolls around swinging her arms and rolling her head around looking in every direction. It's almost like she is out in Central park in New York taking a leisurely stroll and admiring the clouds and buildings above her and around her...except all we have is a fan...which is OK... and then come the lunges...not sure what this is all about..but she strolls along and looks like she is doing exercise lunges...it is actually pretty cute cause she wears a huge smile...to accompany the pants on her head.
Also the weekend of Father's day we did the Strawberry run/walk to benefit the community center in Sun Prairie. The Meyer's came over for the weekend and also participated. We had a great time walking and enjoyed some strawberries and pancakes after! Maddie enjoyed riding along and also had a pancake of course. Smiles were abound.
