St. Necklace

Was he as good to you as he was to Maddie? Did you get a candy cane when you met him? Did you reward him with a hug and a smile?
To most St Nicklaus (Necklace) is a good natured fellow, anticipated each year, yet rarely seen, rewarding children, and let's face it, parents, with surprises every year.  Not every kid even knows what he looks like...and maybe have not ever seen a picture..let alone met him in person.  Well Maddie had that honor the other day!  The family, Oma and Opa went up to Elkhart Lake to the annual Kris Kringle Mart which is a Christmas mart that follows the tradition of the original one in Nuremberg.  And Saint Nicklaus was there in person.  Maddie got to wave hello to him and even got a special candy cane.  And the whole trip back all we heard was St Necklace!!, St. Necklace!! Couldn't help but bring a Christmas smile to Melissa and my face.  Oh..and we got to try a special kind of sausage there...you can ask about that one!!!
