Wanted....
Bucky badger, the costume, the personality the whole shebang. Person must be able to sing and dance, give high fives and most importantly not be afraid to be in the receiving end of blown kisses. Successful candidate will be available on call in short notice Note: this position is not affiliated with the University of Wisconsin or its athletic department.
Yup, you heard it, we want a real live Bucky, because Maddie LOVES him! Today was to put it mildly, "challenging." Maddie woke up crabby twice and was pushing buttons and tantrum throwing periodically. We had tickets to the Badger hockey game to sit in the AMFAM box and had been talking it up all week but almost didn't go. But we are SO happy we did. Maddie had a blast. We arrived and immediately went outside the box to see the introductions and anthem and the pointing and smiles and "Bucky!" started when the hallowed mammal took the ice. Eyes were transfixed as he skated. Then the band started up, and dancing consisting of butt dips ensued; and never ended. The game was good. Two badger goal were scored within two minutes time and although there may have been a look of "surprised terror" when the air horn sounded, she played it like a champ and danced to the "sieve" chants. Surprisingly she followed the fast pace action as we looked over and she was straining to one side to see the team on the far end and actually said out loud "get it there" referring to the puck. (Not exaggerating, she said it.) At one point we went inside after the first period, but we're quickly let back out to see the "trucks" on the ice. And of course the man, Bucky. Later she witnessed a check and said "hit the wall.". Hilarity ensued. Running around laughing and having a blast soon led out to the arena, where none other than BUCKY was making rounds! She ran up to him, blew him a kiss and gave a high five. Absolute highlight of the evening. Returning to the box we were treated to a rousing version of "On Wisconsin" and "Varsity" which we enjoyed. Perfect timing to leave when the third period started as the signal yawn grabbed our attention. Still don't know who won, but I do know one thing; everyone needs a Bucky!
