State Park Challenge #31: Yellowstone Lake State Park (05.26.19)

After lunch we headed over to Yellowstone Lake State Park, which was larger than we had anticipated. We decided to take a short trail, and hiked 2 miles on the Windy Ridge Trail. The trail was, in fact, as hilly as promised. The girls likely enjoyed the amphitheater stage as much as the trail.  Afterward we headed down to beach area number two of the day to cool off in the water. Madeline jumped right in, however Morgen preferred watching from the sandy beach. Before heading home for the day we stopped to enjoy ice cream at the concessions; SuperMan cones for both girls- YUM!  What a great weekend to tackle part of our "challenge"!
