We set out for a Meyer State Park Challenge weekend and it was one of our best trips. Ever. We started witha stop at Governor Knowles State Forest. We did the Ravine and River trails on the Brandt Pines Trail system, which was misleading; we saw very little of the river. The trail itself would have been gorgeous, except our focus was on avoiding the incredible amount of cross-path spiders along the way. SPIDERS EVERYWHERE! But now we have a story about spiders of course. Afterwards we stopped at a local creamery for ice cream before heading to Duluth.
