Ahhhh..memories...I remember when I used to ask that question...and thought...I hope my kid will eat fruit...all kinds of fruit.....now the statement turns into "I hope my kid will let me WASH the fruit before she eats it." Our little girl likes to go outside with Mama and walk around the front flowerbed where we have strawberries growing. She picks the red ones and eats them, then promptly heads to where the raspberries are......and picks them...she's pretty good at getting the ripe ones...most of the time.
We always knew she loved to pick strawberries, but it really became apparent when the Tinbergs from Green Bay came to visit a weekend this past June. That whole weekend was excellent, we always love when they come visit because we enjoy good food, company and desserts! We went downtown to the farmer's market, hit up the Sunroom Cafe for breakfast and then headed off to the zoo. Then it was Maddie nap time. The evening was filled with deck relaxation and duplo playing. The next day while the boys had the opportunity to golf, the ladies went to the local farm in Sun Prairie to pick strawberries. From what I hear, Madeline ran from row to row and at about her weight in strawberries as evidenced by the elongating pink drool and strawberry aftermath on her outfit. But she had a blast! Thanks Tinbergs for visiting!
