Brace Yourself

Lets face it, we're not professional writers. In fact, I will do my best to keep the spelling errors to a minimum. The following are random thoughts as we reflect on life and our beautiful family. Hope family and friends enjoy!

The Transit of Venus

A little side note...
Jon was excited because he was able to take some great pictures of the Transit of Venus across the sun.  This is an extremely rare astronomical event only witnessed by humans six times.  The last time was in 2004 and the next time it will happen will be 105 years from now in 2117.  The sky was cloudy and hopes were low, but pictures were taken with a Celestron c4.5 Newtonian reflecting telescope from 7:40-8:20 (sunset) on 6/5/2012.  Unforgettable pictures can be seen at our Walgreen's group room.  The link is on the right.  Jon was excited to share this event with Melissa and Maddie who both looked through the eyepiece and at the pictures.  Truly rare and never to be seen again....oh..and Melissa and I saw Saturn two nights prior...pretty cool..how awesome.....
