What's with the Negotiation????

Seriously...it is getting really interesting...funny and noticeable.  But not a bad thing...the cool thing is that Maddie is really taking to expressing herself with her words.  Just today, Melissa told her to "sit tight" to which she responded, "Madeline is standing!"  Too funny!  We have stopped with the lists of words, because we pretty much have regular conversations.  And these conversations have oh-so-subtle cute negotiations in them.  For example, the other day Papa told Maddie that it was getting close to bedtime and to get her pajamas that were in her room on her chair.  Maddie did not want to..obviously because playing is "like the coolest thing ever" so she said no..Papa told her to go..then she responded with "I want to color"  Papa said that she could color for five minutes after she got her pajamas on..to which she responded. "Color in room ....WITH pajamas.." (she seriously enunciated the with.) Papa told her that she could color on her picnic table where she is supposed to...with a furrowed brow she paused..and thoughtfully responded "bring a crayon to room." Papa said...OK, you can bring a crayon to your room as long as you bring it back to color out here.  Maddie said.."OK..bring TWO crayons"  Seriously????? :)
