No Like Ham!

It's been a busy year...and already the end of March?! While it seems as though Madeline started school just last week we have passed many milestones including a first field trip, the 100 th day of school (that's a thing now?), our first daddy daughter dance, family movie nights, and more.  Already we are approaching the final stretch of the school year, as we are halfway through spring break.

One of the biggest surprises for me in this past month have been the strides she has made in reading. As in books not just in the nightly book bag! The class celebrated Dr Suess' birthday a few weeks back and with that came a renewed interest in all our Suess books, especially One Fish Two Fish, Hop on Pop, and Green Eggs and Ham. Maddie reads one of them, it seems, every night. Green Eggs and Ham is definitely the favorite. And not just of our eldest Meyer Lady.

Not to be outdone by her sister, Morgen grabs the book when Madeline is finished, flips through the pages, and yells to us, "No Like Ham!" With authority. Boom. She Doesn't miss a beat. And grins.
