Today was Madeline's last day of kindergarten and we have spent the last two weeks or so working up toward it. Still, I don't think we were quite prepared for her response....which was tears, and a few rounds of them. It is hard to convey the depth of emotion I watched her work through as she contemplated a WHOLE SUMMER away from school, her friends, and her beloved kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Winterfield. We emphasized that Mrs Winterfield would always be her kindergarten teacher, but that there are so many new adventures waiting for her.
Cheers Maddie! Great work this year! We are proud of you.
