State Park Challenge #34: Peninsula State Park (10.12.19)

We took the family on an "anniversary weekend" adventure, looking for fall colors. We got them! Along with some wind and sleet. We stayed in Sister Bay, at an awesome spot called "Goose & Twigs". The room and the breakfasts were amazing.

Our first park of the Challenge weekend was Peninsula State Park. WOW. There you go! Ha! Our family tackled the "difficult" Eagle trail. It wound around some bluffs along the bay. The girls loved exploring the caves (until Madeline saw a bat). And loved climbing over rocks and roots. Mud was involved. 

We then visited the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, and were able to tour the space. Imagine growing up with your family of 9 - with 7 brothers in one tiny bedroom. WOW (again!)

We "tailgated" in the car, and then moved on to our next Challenge park...
