In light of statewide "social distancing", we decided to jump on it as an opportunity to tackle a Challenge park. So today, we took a field trip to the Loew Lake segment of the Kettle Morraine State Forest. We hiked 3 miles (1.5 out and back) on the Ice Age Trail segment that weaves through this part of the forest. It was MUDDY! To Morgen's utter delight! HA!
We also learned about eskers. Jon made a joke about going up the esker-ator and dared me to include that in this post; so here it is!
As the weeks unfold in an unpredictable way, here's hoping that we take advantage of these opportunities to explore our parks. Stay healthy all!
