Well 2020 sure did not pan out as expected! However our family continues to be blessed and we are so very thankful. We decided to end the year just as we began it: with a hike! Snowfall earlier this week made it possible for us to dust off our snowshoes for the day as well. We rounded Mauthe Lake on the Tamarack Circle Trail (2 miles). Madeline made the entire trek with her snowshoes on (it's a workout!) We saw several fishermen on the lake, found several dedications on stones and benches along the trail, and Morgen even found an angel ornament hanging from a tree. It made me sooo happy to see that angel hanging there! We picnicked in the car, and the girls enjoyed hot chocolate before we headed home to start our New Year celebration. While 2020 was certainly a ride, we are ready welcome 2021!
