Pattison State Park was our second park of the day, but it sure did not disappoint. We were able to see both Big and Little Manitou Falls, and hike down to the Black River; the river was likely the girls favorite part of the visit, as they got to criss cross it over the rocks that lined the river bed. It was a peaceful rest at the bottom of the ravine for Jon and I, before the climb back up the hill. Of note, by this point in the weekend the girls were professional license plate spotters, and we may have driven multiple circles in the parking lot to confirm plate-sightings. Although this was our last state park of the trip, Duluth offered us a chance to still visit a lighthouse (and splash IN Lake Superior), and view a cargo ship come into port and under the Aerial Lift Bridge. Fantastic Fun.
