We seem to have fallen into a wonderful habit of ending or beginning the new year with a hike. Today we took the opportunity to have a family date day, complete with our New Year hike. We started off with a visit with Oma Resi and Opa Franz, and ended it with a drive through the Magic of Lights at American Family Field. In between, we walked a little over a mile and a half through the trails. It was as described: serene, with sirens occasionally heard in the distance! We saw 4 deer, which were very large bucks, and one was staring right at us (we missed a picture though). We also learned a bit aabout the Lincoln Creek that flows through the area, ultimately to Lake Michigan. We had an amazing day. Cheers to our next adventures, in 2022!
