As a finale to the Meyer-Tinberg 2017 adventure, we set out to explore Perrot State Park. This park has it all! Beautiful trails, bluffs and river views/access! To make the most of our morning, we hiked about 2.5 miles along the Prairie Ridge Trail: to the top of the bluff, along the ridge, and back down part of a ski trail (a portion of the trail was washed out...surprise!)
The elevation at the top was 507 feet, and the view was STUNNING.
We heard 'songbirds' along the way. Madeline was a hiking trooper, and both she and Morgen serenaded us with various tunes, including a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.
We are so thankful to have enjoyed two parks on our list with Greg and Linsay - nature is enjoyed best with friends and family! And our verdict on this park is that we would definitely consider a revisit!!
