State Park Challenge #17: Council Grounds State Park (05.28.18)
After a long holiday weekend of fun, sun and and family, it was time to head home....and our drive took us right past Council Grounds State Park. The park is very small; trails share the one way roads through the park. There is a boat landing and a small beach. Since we were all exhausted, (yes Madeline- you need to learn to rest too!), we decided to spend our time in the park at the beach. We had an early lunch and waded in the water of the Wisconsin River. The surrounding pine trees were gorgeous, and the sun smiled on us. Our time here was short, but peaceful. It was a perfect stop to break up our drive home.
