Our final park visit of the trip brought us to Interstate State Park, which is bordered by the St. Croix River (with views of Minnesota's park across the river.) The western terminus of the Ice Age Trail is located on the Pothole Trail in this state park; this trail was by far the favorite of the Meyer Ladies! Who knew that these bluffs were once the bottom of the river and that whirlpools could drill huge holes in the rock! (Geology lesson!) We also took time to walk the Echo Canyon trail also, which felt like a little like walking through a fairy tale scene! The girls wrapped up our visit by rock hunting for a bit along the Dalles Lake. Spring Break 2021 was a success!
